This project brought everything together—we added a natural stone retaining wall and blended the new pool with the existing patio for a seamless, natural flow. With precision-cut stone and thoughtful design, we created a space that feels connected, inviting, and ready to be enjoyed for years to come.

To give a better sense of how the space came to life, we’ve included a series of in-progress photos that show the full transformation—from the middle of the project once the boulder retaining wall was installed to the final details of sealing the patio in place with polymeric sand. It’s always fun to look back and see just how far a yard can come with the right vision and a solid plan. This one is a favorite not just because of how it turned out, but because of how intentional every step of the process was.

This project was all about turning a sloped backyard into a fully usable space. We built a massive 100'+ Versa-Lok retaining wall to raise and level the yard, creating a solid foundation for a whole new layout. With the ground evened out, we added a clean rock bed that flows seamlessly from the house to a fire pit area, all enclosed with sleek bullet edging for a polished finish. The end result? A backyard that’s not just bigger and more functional, but one that feels completely intentional—perfect for relaxing, entertaining, and making the most of every inch of space.
This backyard presented a unique challenge with its steep slope and partial shade, but thoughtful design turned it into a functional, inviting retreat. A carefully placed path now leads to a cozy fire pit carved into the hillside, enclosed by a sturdy Versa-Lok retaining wall to prevent erosion and define the space. Surrounding mulch beds, filled with a curated selection of plants suited to varying sun exposure, bring natural beauty and balance to the landscape. The result is a seamless blend of structure and nature, creating a warm and welcoming outdoor escape.
